Immaculate Conception
Alessandro Franchi 1904In Palazzo Pretorio Museum are displayed several cartoons by Alessandro Franchi: the Immaculate Conception, the Samaritan by the well and the Annunciation. All of them follow clearly models of Florentine 15th century art, typical trend of the purist and 19th century art.
Franchi, from Prato, who at the end of the seventies uses a more fluent pictorial register, distinguishes himself by the purity of his lines and the opulence of the representations.
