This female bust by Lorenzo Bartolini depicts the Irish writer Lady Sydney Owenson Morgan, known for writing travel books about France and Italy, as well as popular novels set in Ireland, such as The wild Irish girl of 1806.

The work, an unfinished marble, is characterised by a vivid naturalism; the step marks are visible on the top of the hairstyle and on the back of the head.
The bust is part of the bequest to the City of Prato of Bartolini's many works by the Pianetti family (1956-1957).
