Artworks
The Museum collections consist of about 3000 artworks made up of paintings, sculptures, drawings, cloths, dresses, furniture and other objects. The Museum collections were acquired mostly during the 19th century, thanks to acquisitions, bequests and donations (even in recent times). The Palazzo Pretorio Museum houses the most significant artworks that tell the story of the city. Through them, visitors are able to appreciate the wealth of Prato's artistic and cultural heritage.
Other artworks (including portraits, still lives and altarpieces) can be found inside the Town Hall. The latter can be visited on special occasions, which are announced on the museum's social media channels.
