The meticulous attention to detail and the precision of the flower details are evident. This denotes a particular predilection for themes and modes that the painter cultivated at the beginning of her career, when she collaborated with her husband. In fact, Giulia was in charge of finishing the paintings, usually painting the landscape backgrounds and flowers in her husband's Madonnas.
The section devoted to the Martini collection in the Museum of Palazzo Pretorio exhibits numerous still lifes, particularly vases of flowers, but also vegetables and greens.
