Central Park of Prato, on exhibition the ten projects in the final
From the 7th to the 28th of October are on exhibition in our spaces on the ground floor the ten projects that reached the final in the design competition of the new Central Park, after on Saturday the 1st of October an international jury met to select the winner. Our Museum, upholder of the city memory, becomes the ideal place to tell the future city.
The spaces on the ground floor of Pretorio Palace host, from the 7th to the 28th of October, the public exhibition of the ten projects that reached the final in the design competition of the new Central Park of Prato.
At the beginning of 2016 the Municipality of Prato called an international competition of architecture for the new three hectares park in the historical city centre. After a phase open to all designers, on Wednesday the 4th of May 2016 the international jury selected the ten architects, who were asked to take part in the design competition. On Saturday the 1st of October 2016 the jury met to select the winner, who will be instructed to draw up the final executive project for the new Central Park of Prato.
The international jury announced by unanimity that the project, which won the competition, is the one by Paolo Brescia (OBR - Paolo Brescia and Tommaso Principi) – head of the group Michel Desvigne (Michel Desvigne Paysagiste), Alberto Romeo (Intertecno) with Tommaso Principi (OBR - Paolo Brescia and Tommaso Principi), Elisa Siffredi (OBR - Paolo Brescia and Tommaso Principi), Enrico Ferraris (Michel Desvigne Paysagiste), Massimiliano Marzo (Intertecno).
